Russia is trying to establish a pro-Russian government in Chisinau in order to use the Republic of Moldova, including against Ukraine, according to the Belarusian model. Moldovan President Maia Sandu stated this in an interview with Vocea Basarabiei TV channel.
The head of the Moldovan state believes that, as in the case of Belarus, the Russians would not mind deploying nuclear weapons in Moldova.

“For the first time at the level of the country’s leadership, we openly and directly speak about the real intentions of the Russian Federation,” Sandu says.. “We tell the Russian leadership that the Moldovans are not their subjects and will not do what Moscow asks of them, no matter how many threats it sends”.

“Ukraine today is our shield, it protects us from possible aggression,” says the President of Moldova. She admits that peace in her country can only be maintained “thanks to the courage of Ukrainians who defend their freedom and hold back the Russian army, which is the army of the aggressor”.
The President of Moldova previously reported on the danger of a coup d'etat. Maia Sandu believes that actions are planned in the country with the involvement of saboteurs with military training who will attack state buildings and take hostages.
According to Sandu, the saboteurs plan to rely on some internal forces - the entourage of the largest Moldovan businessman Vlad Plahotniuc and representatives of the opposition political party "
