Despite the war, Ukrainians continue to receive pensions, social benefits and subsidies for utility bills. The Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) told in which cases it will be necessary to return the overpaid subsidy to the state.
When do I need to return the subsidy?.
The PFC noted that the subsidy is a non-refundable targeted state social assistance to consumers who cannot independently pay for housing and communal services, pay the costs of managing an apartment building, the purchase of liquefied gas, solid and liquid heating household fuel.

A person who applies for a subsidy assumes responsibility for the information provided about his income and property, which determines the right to assign a housing subsidy and its amount (Regulations on the procedure for assigning housing subsidies, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 21. 10. 1995 No. 848 "
In Ukraine, according to the legislation, there are only two cases when an overpaid subsidy is returned to the state:.
in the event that false information was indicated in the application or declaration and this affected the establishment of the right to a housing subsidy and the determination of its amount, which ultimately exceeded 10 tax-free minimum incomes of citizens (170 hryvnias),.
or when the person did not report the circumstances affecting the review of the right to assign a housing subsidy or its amount, within 30 calendar days from the date of their occurrence.
In case of assigning a housing subsidy for the next period, the authorized body may withhold the amount of the overpaid housing subsidy when paying the monthly amounts of subsidies.
At the same time, current payments can be reduced by only 20 percent..
