The Ministry of Justice applied to the Agency for Tracing and Management of Assets with a request to help find the property of parties banned in Ukraine. Is there any news from ARMA on this matter and where the agency will transfer the found property, she said in an interview with ZN. UA Deputy Minister of Justice Valeria Kolomiets, with whom Tatyana Bezruk spoke.
“As of the beginning of this year, ARMA has found such property for more than 20 million hryvnias.. In general, the property of parties can be transferred to the state budget: these are bank funds, what we transfer to the management of the State Property Fund - movable and immovable property, intellectual property rights are transferred to the National Intellectual Property Authority, and land plots - to the executive authority, on.
She also said that in parallel with the filing of lawsuits to ban the relevant parties in court, the Ministry of Justice seized all the resources we identified and began to develop a procedure for identifying the assets of political parties. When the department switched to the implementation of the already developed procedure, they realized that this did not quite correspond to the powers and capabilities of the Ministry of Justice alone. In particular, it became clear that there are more competent authorities that can carry out a search at any stage.
“Therefore, after that, changes were made, according to which we apply to ARMA, which collects all the information,” Kolomiets concluded..

Recall, ARMA has completed preparations for the launch of the Register of Seized Assets. According to the head of the agency Dmitry Zhoravovich, the register remains closed to the public for the period of martial law, but this does not affect its functioning, and law enforcement agencies have access to it.. However, Zoravovich noted that ARMA would support the draft law on opening the Register to the public, and also sent an official appeal to the government about the possibility of resuming access.
