Compensation for employment: how an employer can get it

By Resolution No. 124 of February 10, 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers determined the procedure for providing compensation to employers for the employment of registered unemployed. This applies to the provision of jobs to certain categories of citizens..

Experts of the “Legal Adviser for IDPs” explained how an employer can receive such compensation from the employment center.

The following incentives are provided for the employment of the unemployed:.

compensation of actual expenses in the amount of ERUs for the relevant person for the month for which it was paid, but not more than UAH 2948.

compensation of 50% of actual labor costs, but not more than 6700 UAH.

Compensation of actual expenses in the amount of ERUs.

Compensation of actual expenses in the amount of ERUs for the relevant person for the month for which it was paid can be received for the employment of persons who have been in the status of registered unemployed for more than one month, in the direction of the employment center for a period of at least two years, namely:.

one of the parents or a person who replaces them and: has a dependent child (children) under the age of six years; brings up without one of the spouses a child under the age of 14 or a child with a disability; contains without one of the spouses a person with a disability since childhood (regardless of age) and / or a person with a disability of group I (regardless of the cause of disability);

orphans and children deprived of parental care;

persons dismissed after serving a sentence or compulsory treatment;

persons who are 10 years or less before they become eligible for a retirement pension;

persons who are at least 15 years of age and who, with the consent of one of the parents or a person replacing them, may, as an exception, be employed;

persons in respect of whom the fact of deprivation of personal freedom as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine has been established, after their dismissal;

registered unemployed who have been in the status of registered unemployed for more than 6 months.

Duration of payment – \u200b\u200b12 months within two years. The amount of compensation cannot be more than 2948 UAH/month, i.e. the maximum amount of compensation is 35 376 UAH/12 months. To receive compensation, you must submit an application according to the model.

Reimbursement of 50% of actual labor costs.

Compensation of 50% of actual labor costs can be obtained for employment in the direction of the employment center for a period of at least one year of persons who have been in the status of registered unemployed for more than one month, namely:.

persons with disabilities who have not reached retirement age;

combatants specified in paragraphs 19-21 hours. 1 article 6 of the Law \;

persons who have no more than five years before the onset of the right to an old-age pension.

Payment duration – 6 months. The amount of compensation cannot be more than 6,700 UAH/month, that is, the maximum amount of compensation is 40,200 UAH/6 months.

To receive compensation, you must submit an application according to the sample.

Compensation is not provided to the employer when the company has a debt:.

by paying a single fee;

on the payment of insurance premiums for compulsory state pension insurance;

for the payment of wages;

before the state (local) budget for more than 6 months;

bankruptcy (insolvency) court procedures are applied to a business entity or the company is in the process of liquidation.
