Due to the full-scale Russian invasion, many Ukrainians were forced to go abroad to escape the war. Often situations arise when people find themselves in another country without important documents, and relatives or friends need to send them by mail.

The Telegram channel of the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reminded which documents are allowed and which are prohibited to be sent abroad by mail.

Due to martial law, the state has expanded the list of documents that Ukrainians can send abroad by mail.

Allowed to send:.

internal passport;

passport for travel abroad;

identity card for returning to Ukraine.

It is forbidden to send:.

permits to carry weapons;

work books;

military tickets and identity cards.

If prohibited items are found, the postal operator returns the package to the sender or it is confiscated. On the Ukrposhta website, you can check the list of items prohibited for shipment to any country.

Recall that in all branches of Ukrposhta you can receive a shipment without documents using an SMS message. But there are certain limitations.
