Some Ukrainians who started their career path before 2004 may face the following problem: not all years and places of work are registered in the Pension Fund database and, accordingly, do not affect the size of the pension. From January 1, 2004, the insurance period is calculated according to the data contained in the personalized accounting system. The main document confirming the work experience up to 01. 01. 2004, is a work book.

According to Shuta, in the absence of a work book, as well as in cases where it does not contain the necessary entries or incorrect or inaccurate entries about the periods of work, the data available in the register of insured persons of the State Register of Compulsory State Social Insurance are accepted to confirm the length of service.. We also accept extracts or certificates compiled on the basis of data available in the information systems of enterprises, institutions, organizations, certificates, extracts from orders, personal accounts and information on the payment of wages, certificates, characteristics, written employment contracts and agreements with marks on their execution.. In general, all documents confirming that a given person worked at a given place at a given time are taken into account..

After documentary confirmation of the insurance experience accumulated up to 01. 01. 2004, will be reflected on the personal page of the register of insured persons after entering information into it by the employer or the insured person personally.

If these data are not entered into the register in a timely manner, the periods of labor activity, training, military service, etc.. to 01. 01. 2004 will be attributed to the insurance period directly when applying for a pension, but only on the basis of the documents provided.

Data in the register of insured persons is entered in electronic form in automatic mode on the basis of information received, in particular, from single contribution payers or directly from insured persons.
