Thus, the GDS operator is responsible for the reliable and safe operation, maintenance and development (construction) of the gas distribution system, which is legally owned or used by him, the proper organization and distribution of natural gas.

In their work, GDS operators are required to comply with the Licensing Conditions for the implementation of economic activities for the distribution of natural gas, approved by the Resolution of the NEURC of 16. 02. 2017 No. 201.

Experts said that as of January 31, 2022, 42 GDS operators had valid licenses for the distribution of natural gas, they are also oblgases, which actually operate gas distribution systems and deliver gas to consumers.
