Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich presented a poignant composition-confession "
In a new song and a dramatic video for it, Ognevich conveyed all the pain of loss, which Ukrainian women are unfairly forced to endure today..
As the artist admitted, the lines of the composition came to her after she saw an emotional video in which President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Ukrainian heroes posthumously. Awards were given to wives, daughters and mothers of the deceased.
" In the eyes of every woman there was unbearable despair, tears, acceptance, hopelessness.. It is impossible to imagine the feelings of our women and their experiences, they are no less heroines than their brave men, whose feat we will remember forever. All courageous angels remain forever in our hearts. I really want my listeners to experience all the emotions that I put into the song and video “Yak me buti”, there is a part of my soul,” shared Ognevich.
Zlata created this composition in collaboration with the Ukrainian sound producer MORPHOM in just a few meetings. The track was recorded in one breath and with tears in my eyes. The singer went to record with a producer in another city right at the moment when she wrote the first lines of the song:.
" There were 20 minutes before the train left, I took a ticket and left immediately. I knew it had to be done here and now.. It was important for me to immediately translate the experienced emotions into music, to write down not so much the words as the feelings that were inside. Together with MORPHOM, in just one day, we finished writing a song overflowing with pain and tears. During the recording, I found out that my friend's beloved died in the war, and it tore me apart, "
The artist added that most of all she wants Ukrainian women to hold on and be strong, and that there will be victory soon..
The single " The departing train, carried in the frame right next to Zlata Ognevich, symbolizes lost hopes and memories that have gone forever into the past.
