DRAWING PROCEDURE Teams that will get out of the bowl will go to groups in alphabetical order from A to J (the first team from each basket will be in group A, the second in group B, and so on). 10 group winners will advance directly to the 2022 World Cup, and the 10 second-placed teams will play in the playoffs.

In addition to them, the two best rated winners of the League of Nations groups, who will not make it to the World Cup through the qualifying tournament, will play in the play-offs.

12 teams will be split into three playoff rounds. The last three participants will be determined in March 2022.
