Former Verona striker Giampaolo Pazzini fell into La Spezia's sphere of interests, journalist Nicolo Schira tweeted.
The Eaglets plan to strengthen the attack line after the start of the season in Serie A and want to sign an experienced striker. At the moment, the club's management is negotiating with the agent of the 36-year-old striker.
Pazzini became a free agent last summer, leaving Verona after two years at the club. Last season, the striker played 16 matches in a blue-yellow shirt, scoring four goals.
Earlier it was reported that La Spezia had loaned Inter midfielder Lucien Agoume.
