Merseysiders agreed to transfer Portuguese forward.

Wolverhampton striker Diogo Jota will become a Liverpool player, reports The Athletic portal.

The Reds have agreed on a five-year contract with the Portuguese striker and should announce its acquisition shortly. The transfer amount will be about 45 million pounds.

Jota joins Wolverhampton in summer 2017 from Atletico. Last season, the 23-year-old played 48 matches in a wolves shirt, scoring 16 goals and making 6 assists.

Earlier it was reported that Liverpool announced the signing of midfielder Thiago Alcantara.
