KNUVD cadet exposed a man in theft of communication cables

While patrolling the territory of the Kholodnogorsky district, KNUVD cadet Igor Sapeyko quickly responded to reports of theft and found an attacker at the crime scene in the act.

A citizen who witnessed the theft of a communication cable helped to find the attacker, the police department of the Kharkiv region reports.

The attacker turned out to be a 35-year-old previously convicted resident of Zolochevsky district. Material evidence seized, ongoing pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings opened upon theft.

In total, 109 cadets of the KNUVD are currently being trained in the services and units of the Kharkov police. Together with police officers, according to the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, 348 university employees and cadets were involved in measures to ensure public safety and order aimed at preventing the spread of acute respiratory illness COVID-19 in Ukraine.
