Lucio at the age of 41 decided to end his player’s career, Globoesporte reports. The Brazilian commented on a momentous event, thanking everyone who supported him.

The club career of the Brazilian defender took place in Bavaria, Inter, Bayer, Palmeiras, San Paolo, Goa and Juventus. Lucio played a total of 545 matches, in which he scored 41 goals and made 28 assists.

The Brazilian won the 2002 World Cup, and also triumphed in the Champions League 2009/10 with Inter.
