The Austrian publication Kurier published information on the scientific development of scientists from Oxford University, which should help people who want to become vegans and vegetarians easier to tolerate the rejection of meat products.

On the basis of the university, British scientists, led by psychologist Charles Spence and Strong Ruth, a manufacturer of products for vegetarians, created a patch with bacon flavor. Rubbing this patch - the smell of bacon appears in the air. According to scientists: “If people who want to quit smoking use a nicotine patch, then why not use a patch with bacon flavor to people who have recently been supporters of meat food, and now decided to quit it”.

Following the theory of Spence, the use of this patch can quench the craving for meat products among beginner vegetarians. Studies have shown a decrease in appetite when using a patch with a smell of bacon. “Knowing the strong relationship between our sense of smell and taste, we can fool our brain by imagining that we eat meat,” Spence concluded.

Soon, researchers plan to test this patch in the UK.
