The draft program of economic and social development of the city of Kharkov for 2019 was approved today, November 28, at a meeting of the executive committee of the Kharkiv city council, the press service of the department reports.

As the Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv - Director of the Department of Economics and Municipal Property Mikhail Fateev said, next year the average monthly salary of full-time employees is expected to grow by 15.4%. At the end of 2018, the level of registered unemployment of the working-age population is expected to be at the level of 0.52%, in 2019 this calculated figure will be 0.51%. According to Mikhail Fateev, this means that every person who wants to find a job receives such an opportunity.. In 2019, it is expected to create more than 20 thousand. new permanent jobs.

The director of the department noted that, on the whole, in the city’s industry, an increase in sales of products by 5.8%.

According to him, in the planned year the stable development of the housing construction sector will continue.. At the end of 2018, it is expected to put into operation about 400 thousand. square. meters of housing, which is 7.2% more than in 2017. This will allow more than 15 thousand. Fateev emphasized that measures to increase the level of comfort of living in Kharkiv, provided for by the draft program and current industry programs, are particularly important.. The department director said that the draft program carried out an analysis of the economic and social development of the city over the previous period, and also identified the main problems and ways to solve them in 2019 in such areas as: “Realization of the city’s economic potential”, “Social sphere”, Infrastructure development ”,“ Humanitarian sphere ”,“ International activity and image projects ”,“ Nature management and human life safety ”,“ Protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, strengthening of law and order ”.
