Ukrainian group "Gaydamaki" received "Golden Disc" in Poland

On November 20, in Warsaw, the status of “Golden” was given to the disc of the ethno-rock group “Gaydamaki”, which last year released a video for a joint song with Tony Matvienko.

The Golden Disc, a music award that has existed since the Beatles, was presented by Pyotr Metz, the music director of the popular radio station Troika in Poland..

The band received the award for the album "Mitskevich-Stasyuk-Gaydamaky" - a joint musical project of the Ukrainian group "Gaydamaky" and the Polish writer Andrey Stasyuk.

The basis of 10 songs the musicians took the "Crimean Sonnets" by Adam Mitskevich. Yury Andrukhovich helped the group to translate poems to the group, the story says “Snіdanku s 1 + 1”.

In Poland, the album was first heard in late January. Very soon his presentation will take place in Ukraine.

For the group "Gaydamaki" this is the second "Golden Disc". In 2011, the same award received the disc "Voo Voo and Haydamaky". This album was sold in Poland in two weeks..
