On the eve of the XVIII Congress "United Russia" will hold discussions in all 85 regions of the country. This was stated by Secretary of the General Council of the party Andrei Turchak. According to him, specific proposals and recommendations developed during these discussions will be enshrined in the decision of the Congress.. “Until November 20, we will hold a series of regional discussions in all the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which will discuss a number of issues aimed at improving the efficiency of the party and its interaction with people and public institutions,” said Turchak. Thus, the decisions of the upcoming congress will be formed not in the offices of the party leadership, but in the course of discussions, in which not only party members in the regions, but also public figures and active youth will be able to take part.. “Only by joint efforts can we develop an integrated approach for further development and raising the level of party participation in the life of the country,” the secretary of the general council stressed.. As Turchak explained, an unprecedented survey will be conducted first: a special questionnaire has already been sent to party members, supporters of the EP and the youth wing. At the second stage of the discussion, the authors of the brightest and most interesting proposals will be gathered in the administrative center of the subject.. After that, the best offers will be documented and sent to the CEC of the party.. "As a result, the list of proposals collected from the regions and best practices will be considered on the first day of the XVIII Congress," Turchak said. Participants in regional discussions were offered the following topics for discussion: How can a party become a more modern and effective political organization? How to increase the effectiveness of communications and representation of the interests of citizens, civil society institutions in power? What should be the party institutions and technological approaches in election campaigns and in inter-party competition in the current situation? A real-life party: the focus is on human problems and new solutions for the development of the country (the implementation of the Party’s Election Program sections in the region and municipalities is discussed). The XVIII Congress of "United Russia" will be held December 7-8 in Moscow.
