Since the beginning of the year, border guards have stopped the use of citizens by more than 4,100 "problematic" documents. Most of them, 3660, were invalid, another 60 did not belong to persons who crossed the border with them. But 470 citizens tried to cross the border and the contact line in the area where the operation was conducted by the United forces tried to use forged documents.

Among the foreigners who used counterfeits, most of them are citizens of Turkey, Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Russia, Sri Lanka, India, and forged passports of Egypt, Turkey, Bulgaria, Germany, France, Israel, India, Greece, Denmark, Moldova and Spain.

The press service of the SBSU noted that usually citizens of other countries with forged documents are potential illegal migrants. Thus they try to get not only on the territory of Ukraine, but also in transit to the EU countries.
