International Olympic Committee (IOC) suspended financing of the International Biathlon Federation due to the scandal with doping in Russia.

Note that the IBU took part in several scandals with the concealment of the use of banned drugs by Russian athletes.

Because of this incident, IBU President Andres Besseberg lost his post. Now the IOC generally decided to suspend the financing of the IBU. It will last until all the conditions are fulfilled. This is reported on the official website of the Olympic Committee.
