On average, 8 people die in road accident every day in Ukraine, and 92 people are injured.

This was stated by the head of the National Police of Ukraine Sergey Knyazev, the press service of the website of the agency.

According to Knyazev, during 2017 on the territory of Ukraine more than 162.5 thousand road accidents. In these road accidents killed 3432 people, injured - almost 35 thousand people.

"For 4 months of 2018 45,5 thousand road accidents. This is almost 10 percent less compared to last year's period. In 5862 road accidents there are injured: 749 people were killed and 7602 people were injured, "the statement said..

In addition, according to statistics, on average in Ukraine, every day as a result of an accident killed 8 people, and 92 people are injured.

The main factors are exceeding the maximum permitted speed of the vehicle, violation of the rules for maneuvering and crossing the intersections, as well as non-compliance with a safe distance and driving in a state of intoxication.
