In China, the police managed to detain a suspect through face recognition technology. It happened at a music concert, which had more than 50,000 visitors. This is reported by The Verge, referring to local media.
It is reported that the man was shocked when the police approached him. The suspect said that he felt safe and added that he would never have come to the concert if he knew about a possible arrest. He was wanted by the police for "economic crimes".
This is not the first time that the Chinese police are catching suspects through face recognition technology. Last year, 25 wanted were detained at a beer festival. Police Zhengzhou is also equipped with glasses with a similar technology - this has already allowed police to detain several suspects.
