Neapolitans are close to signing midfielder Sampdoria Lucas Torreira.

The promising 22-year-old Uruguayan hit the radar of the Neapolitan club thanks to a powerful game this season.

As reported by Tuttomercato, Napoli has already held talks with Sampdoria regarding the transfer of Torreira, thereby notifying the club of his intention to acquire a player.

In the contract between Lucas and Sampdoria, the amount of compensation in the amount of 25 million euros is prescribed, but the "parthenopes" will try to bargain and buy Torreira cheaper.

In addition to Napoli, the services of Lucas are interested in Inter, Leipzig and Atletico.

In the current Serie A draw, Torreira scored 4 goals and 1 assists in 24 matches.

Earlier, Roma offered 10 million euros for the transfer of Lucas, but received a refusal.
