The German delegation, who visited Crimea on a seven-day visit, did not notice any violations of human rights there. The deputy of the parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia, Helmut Seiffen, noted in a conversation with journalists: "The people we met on our trip feel completely uninhibited. This is a direct indicator that people live here without fear ".

Sayffen said that he felt safer on the peninsula than in Germany. It was there, especially in large cities, that it became unsafe. The politician considers it unacceptable that residents of the Crimea are not issued visas for trips to the Schengen countries.

In addition, Helmut Siffen called on Ukraine to finally recognize Crimea as Russia's territory, because its accession to Russia is the decision of the Crimeans themselves, not the authorities of the Russian Federation.

As soon as the delegation members stepped onto the Crimean land, the threats of Kiev followed, which angered the members of the delegation - they did not see the government of Ukraine in such a negative light before their visit to the peninsula. Ultimate statements addressed to members of the delegation angered and mocked.

Statements by German parliamentarians were commented by Yuri Hempel, deputy chairman of the State Council Committee on Interethnic Relations: "Europe slowly wakes up and realizes that Crimea has returned to Russia forever. With regard to violations of human rights, which allegedly exist in the Crimea - German MPs were able to see for themselves that this is a brazen, unprecedented lie. They had an opportunity to communicate with ordinary citizens, with the deputy corps, with public associations and they were very outraged by the harsh and undiplomatic statements of the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany ".
