The head coach of Manchester United Jose Mourinho said that money is not the main goal of the club's newcomer Alexis Sanchez.

"Red Devils" at the beginning of the week exchanged players with Arsenal. Alexis Sanchez arrived in Manchester, Henry Mkhitaryan left for London.

The media reported that Sanchez became the highest-paid player in the Premier League, and some talk about a salary of 500 thousand pounds a week.

"Why did Alexis choose Manchester United? I do not know, but it's definitely not for the money. Other clubs could also afford it. Look at the numbers - City, Chelsea and even Everton have spent more than we have, "said Mourino Sky Sports.

"Let's talk so. If Alexis had a contract with Arsenal for another 2-3 years, his price would be 100-150 million euros. Now he could go anywhere, but decided to come here. Honestly, I do not think that it cost us dearly. I think this is a fair price for such a player, this is a very profitable investment for us ".

Note that Mourinho himself extended the contract with the MJ yesterday.
