It was necessary to save the inspector, who was trying to drive a drunk violator. As the press-secretary of the patrol police of the city Alla Marchenko said, the incident occurred in Belyaevsky district of the Odessa region around midnight.

In the village of Dachnoye, law enforcement officers on Mira Street stopped the driver who, while driving a Mercedes car, had obvious signs of alcoholic intoxication. On the requirements of inspectors to produce documents the man did not react, behaved aggressively, and then started a fight.

He came to the aid of visitors of an entertainment institution, which was nearby. They began to threaten the patrol, tried to provoke conflict and seized the patrol for the elements of the uniform.

At the same time, they injured the head of the female inspector, and then intended to drive her by car. Here, because there was a real threat to life and health, the police had to use firearms, - said Marchenko, adding that at the moment one of the offenders was detained, another disappeared in a car in an unknown direction.

The injured woman is now in the hospital under the supervision of doctors.

On this fact, a criminal case was launched under the article Violence against a law enforcement officer of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
