The overwhelming majority of Ukrainians (80%) consider the fight against corruption in the country to be unsuccessful, with 46% completely failing. This is evidenced by the results of a sociological survey conducted by the Democratic Initiatives Foundation. Ilka Kucheriva together with the sociological service of the Razumkov Center. According to the results of the research, 15% of respondents saw the success in fighting corruption, and only 2.5% consider this struggle to be completely successful. At the same time, 43% of Ukrainians polled by sociologists do not see any instance that actively struggles with corruption in Ukraine. The remaining population of active fighters against corruption sees in the media, journalists (26%), the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (24%), anti-corruption public organizations (21%), the population (12%), Western countries (11%). More than half of the Ukrainians surveyed (54%) believe that the country should legislatively authorize the use of the bribe provocation method to combat corruption among officials, and 26% of respondents do not agree. The study was conducted from 15 to 19 December 2017 in all regions of Ukraine except for the Crimea and the occupied territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. Interviewed 2004 respondents aged 18 years. The theoretical sampling error does not exceed 2.3%.
