The party in the forest near Modiin, in which dozens of representatives of local youth participated, ended in disappointment for all participants. At the noise came a police patrol. Finding on the spot entertainment a few dozen bottles of vodka, police officers announced that the party was over, and alcohol - confiscated.
For the sake of clarity, the guards of order poured vodka straight to the ground, filming this spectacle on video.
The age of youth who took part in a party in nature is not specified.
According to the law on struggle against drunkenness, adopted in 2010, from 21:00 to 6:00 it is forbidden to drink alcohol in public places. If a police officer has reason to believe that a person drinks alcohol or intends to do so in a public place at the above hours, he has the right to confiscate alcohol, in particular pour it in place and throw the bottle into the trash can.
A sign of this intention, according to legislators, is an unsealed bottle of alcohol if it is found in a person in a public place or in a car in a public place. In this case, a presumption is triggered, according to which the person "intends to drink alcohol, which can lead to disruption of order and public safety, unless a different explanation is provided for this fact that will satisfy the police officer".
After the approval of this law, the police began to actively carry out it, causing discontent fans evening picnics in the forest and on the beaches, which poured even beer. The legal board also protested against pouring alcohol on the ground: although this creates a "frightening effect", but contradicts the law on environmental protection, and a policeman pouring beer or vodka on the ground may himself be fined 250 shekels for causing environmental damage.
