Regular drink consumption reduces the risk of death from diseases not associated with the cardiovascular system by 24%.

This conclusion was made by the French professor Nicolas Danschen, having analyzed data from more than 130,000 patients aged 18 to 95 years.

Data on patients were divided into three groups: non-consuming tea and coffee, consuming 1-4 cups, consuming more than 4 cups a day. As a result, it turned out that people who love not only tea and coffee, but also cigarettes, have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease. At the same time, if a person drank more than 4 cups of coffee a day, systolic blood pressure decreased, and diastolic blood pressure increased. Tea had the same, but even more pronounced effect.

At the same time, in the tea-only group, the risk of dying from diseases not related to the cardiovascular system was reduced by 24%. In particular, the value of the drink could be assessed by former and current smokers: for non-smokers, the tea was almost unaffected. Thus, regular use of tea to some extent neutralized the negative effect of bad habits.
