Ukrainian biathlete Vita Semerenko stopped a step away from the prize troika in the sprint in the second stage of the Biathlon World Cup.

Our athlete successfully worked at the shooting range, but, unfortunately, she lost a bit in speed to the players and finished fourth.

Valya Semerenko, Anastasia Merkushina and Irina Varvinets had one penalty circle: Valya turned out to be 17th, Anastasia - 24th, and Irina - 31st. Finish in the top 20, despite two laps of fine, was also able to Julia Jima. And Elena Pidgrushnaya, having missed four times, turned out to be 63rd.

The victory was won by the Belarusian biathlete Daria Domracheva, the second was the representative of Slovakia Anastasia Kuzmina, the third - the Italian biathlete Dorotea Vierer.
