Ukrainian deputies prepared an official request to the OSCE to obtain information on representatives of foreign countries in the number of missions for the months of 2017 in the territory of eastern Ukraine.
At the moment, SMM employs observers from 44 countries around the world, which is approximately equal to 511 representatives, of which 39 people are residents of the Russian Federation. However, most observers are from the EU, USA and Canada.
The number of observers from Serbia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan has increased.
Gerashchenko is concerned that in 2017 the number of observers from "loyal" to Moscow states that support the occupation of the Crimea.
As reported in the "URA-Inform", over the past year as part of the special monitoring mission of the OSCE, which operates in the Donbass, the presence of Russians doubled.
