Cooking salt is a really white death, and this was once again confirmed by Japanese scientists. As a result of observations and numerous analyzes, they came to the conclusion that regular consumption of salted foods doubles the risk of stomach cancer. And this trend is most clearly seen in men.

The Ministry of Health and Labor, which also oversees welfare issues, conducted a grandiose work, as a result of which oncologists specialists for 11 years observed the lifestyle of approximately 40,000 Japanese middle-aged people. Special attention was paid to the daily diet of these people, their attachment to certain drinks, as well as harmful habits that directly affect health, for example - smoking.

According to the data received, among men who are fond of salty foods - one person out of 500 was at special risk of developing stomach cancer. This is twice the rate recorded among those who try to refrain from using salt.

Of the total number of men in the research program (there were just over 18,500 such people), 358 people were cancer patients. Among more than 20 thousand women this indicator was equal to 128. And the threat of cancer in "lovers of salty" is much lower than that of men: one in two thousand.
