Specialists of the company-developer of antivirus software ESET announced a hacker attack on users of the payment system Mastercard. This is stated in a press release that was received by the editorial office of "Tapes. ru »on Wednesday, September 6. According to representatives of ESET, attackers send letters to clients of Mastercard on behalf of the payment system. In the text of the message scammers inform the user about the blocking of his account and offer to go to the link that leads to the phishing site. There, the victim is supposed to update personal information, after which the access to the service will be restored. It is noted that on the fake site the victim is waiting for a questionnaire for entering payment and personal data along with the number, validity and CVV of the bank card. According to experts ESET, after clicking on the "Enter" the user will voluntarily send personal information to intruders. The company also added that the phishing page is hosted on the domain. gob. mx, which belongs to the Mexican government.
