The Standing Committee of the Kyiv City Council on Culture, Tourism and Information Policy declined the petition for the return of the name of Vatutin to Shukhevych Avenue. This was reported by the deputy from VO Svoboda Yuri Sirotuk on his Facebook page.

I also suggested contacting the Security Service of Ukraine to check the antistate activities of the initiators of the petition and the blatant falsification of its results. And to hold them accountable for complicity with the Russian invaders, "- wrote Sirotyuk.

He also said that the commission proposed "to appeal to Vatutin's family about the transfer of his remains buried in the Mariinsky Park, or their reburial in one of Ukraine's cemeteries".

"Forwarding by New Mail is ready to pay," added the people's choice.
