Moldovan President Igor Dodon wants to skim the cream both from the East and from the West, that is, to receive economic dividends from both the association with the European Union and cooperation with Russia. Dodon contradicts his own election program. In particular, he promised that, having become president, denounced the association agreement between Moldova and the European Union. Now he declares that the path of Moldova is "the policy of all azimuths", that is, cooperation with both the East and the West, an example is given by leading research worker of RISI Alexander Shevchenko. Therefore, the current words of Dodon on the possible accession of the republic to the Eurasian Economic Union (ЕАЭС), which he said the other day during his visit to Belarus, should not be considered a plan for action. The parliamentary majority and the government represent forces supporting the course towards European integration. However, next year in Moldova there will be parliamentary elections.
