According to the State Emergency Service, the area of ??compulsory resettlement has been reduced from 25 to 12 hectares. In 337 forest zone, the fire is localized, in 336 quarters - separate cells are observed.

At the same time, the State Emergency Service noted that at six o'clock in the morning two firefighters and one helicopter with a spillway device were engaged in extinguishing the fire.

The involvement of ground forces is complicated by an increase in the background radiation in the combustion cell. At the moment, the total radiation background in the exclusion zone is 0.03-0.04 mR / h with an allowable - 0.08 mR / hour, - the State Emergency Service.

Recall, on June 29, there was a fire of felling remains of wood and forest litter in the Exclusion Zone, previously in the process of cutting down the forest for laying the railway. The fire area on Thursday reached 25 hectares.

The forest burns almost on the border of a 10-kilometer zone near the village of Buryakivka, and the south-west wind. Therefore, no threats are foreseen for the nuclear power plant.
