WBC champion Deontey Wilder was arrested June 14 in the city of Tuscaloosa for possession of marijuana.

The police stopped the car, at the wheel of which was sitting an American boxer, and smelled marijuana.

As a result of a search, a drug was found in the car.

Wilder was able to go free because of a pledge of a thousand dollars.

Deonthey's lawyer hastened to report that the marijuana he had found in the car does not belong to Wilder, and his car was previously used by someone else.
