Christiansen leads Leeds

The new coach of Leeds United was the former mentor of Cyprus APOEL Thomas Christiansen.

The successor to Harry Monk, who moved to Middlesbrough, on the bridge of Leeds was 44-year-old Thomas Christiansen, who had previously trained APOEL.

"We have long been watching Thomas Christiansen," said Executive Director of the White Angus Kinnair. "Therefore, we do not doubt that we entrusted the team to a class specialist who can lead Leeds to the highest level of".

Born in Denmark, Christiansen spent most of his career in Spain, acting as the forward for Barcelona B, Sporting, Osasuna, Racing, Oviedo, Villarreal and Terrassou. He also played for the Greek Panionios, Danish Herfleghe and German Bochum and Hannover. On his account, two fights for the national team of Spain, in which he scored one ball.

As the head coach, Christiansen worked in Cyprus with AEK and APOEL, with whom he won the national championship and reached the 1/8 finals of the Europa League in the 2016/2017 season.
