The report says that in the first quarter of 2017, Ukraine increased exports of light industry products by 10.1% compared to the same period last year.
It is noted that the share of the light industry in Ukrainian exports is 2.4%.
Textiles and textile products are highlighted in the list of light industry. The export volume is 68.2% (171.5 million dollars). Next come shoes, hats, umbrellas, fur raw materials, skins and leather goods - 31.8% ($ 80.0 million). At the same time, almost 83.8% of all products are sent to the countries of the European Union.
Earlier, URA-Inform reported that Ukrainian exports lost $ 13 billion due to the occupation of the Donbass and the Crimea.
