Ukrainian canoeists and canoeists have won a number of awards at the first stage of the World Cup in rowing in Portugal.

Tandem in a kayak in the composition of Igor Trunov and Ivan Semykina won gold at a distance of 500 meters, ahead of the Hungarians and Spaniards on the pedestal. At a distance of 1000 meters, the victory was celebrated by Oleg Kukharik and Vitaliy Tsurkan.

The silver medalist was the Ukrainian duo of canoeists at a distance of 1000 meters. Bronze medalists Rio Taras Mischuk and Dmitry Yanchuk lost 2 seconds to the Cubans.

Lyudmila Luzan won the "bronze" in the competition of single-player canoeists for 500 meters.

It should be noted that at these competitions the two-time Olympic champion Yuri Cheban first appeared as the head coach of the national team.

Recall, the former Ukrainian grebic Inna Osipenko-Radomskaya, who represented Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games in Rio, recently stated that she wants to again compete for Ukraine.
