On March 11-12, the Canary Islands hosted the European Cup in track and field athletics, where athletes competed in throwing a hammer, a disk, a spear and a shot put.

The national team of Ukraine won 5 awards: 2 in the individual championship and 3 in the team. Among them - four "bronze" and "silver".

The strongest discipline for Ukrainians was hammer throwing.

In the U-23 category among women, Alyona Shamotina won the bronze medal (66.31 m).

Another "bronze" in this discipline was won by Vladimir Myslyvchuk in the U-23 category among men. Vladimir set a personal record, sending the hammer to 69.47 m.

The only "silver" for the men's team. Another bronze medal was won by women and men in the U-23 category.
