Investments of RMK in social projects tripled

At the end of 2017, the volume of investments by the Russian financial market in the social sphere in the regions of Russia and Kazakhstan increased threefold by 2016 and reached 1 billion rubles. This was announced at the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM-2018 by Anna Shabarova, Vice President for Human Resources Policy and Social Responsibility.

The key areas of the corporate social responsibility programs of the RMK Group in 2017 were the construction and repair of socially important facilities, the popularization of sports and healthy lifestyles, the support of talented children, patriotic education, assistance to veterans and socially vulnerable groups of the population. Among the largest projects of the company last year - the organization of a sports and recreation complex in Karabash (Chelyabinsk region), which operates copper smelting plant RMK "Karabashmed". For the construction of the sports complex Metallurg and repair of the sanatorium-sanatorium "Sinegorye" the company sent more than 280 million rubles. In 2017, the company financed the overhaul of Kindergarten No. 32 in Korkino (Chelyabinsk Region) at a cost of 36 million rubles, and the construction of a rehabilitation center in Aktobe (Republic of Kazakhstan) in the amount of about 300 million tenge. On the cultural and educational projects in 2017, the Russian Copper Company sent more than 35 million rubles. RMK investments in support of professional and amateur adult and children's sports exceeded 150 million rubles.

"According to preliminary estimates, in the current year, the total investment of the RMK Group in social projects will approach 2 billion rubles. We implement a number of major projects in the territories of our presence. By the end of the year we will complete the construction of a new multifunctional sports complex in Korkino. The capital repair of kindergarten № 11 started in Karabash. We will continue to build in the regions training grounds for the Vorkut and implement linear social projects that have proved to be in demand and effective and cover a wide range of the population from children and young people to the citizens of the older generation, "said Anna, Vice-President of the Human Resources and Social Responsibility Anna Shabarova.
