This is stated in a message on the website of the European Commission.

According to recently received information, by 2025 in the European Union can be more than 27 states. However, the dynamics of the movement of the countries of the Western Balkans on their way to the EU will depend on their own merits.

For example, Montenegro and Serbia are the two countries with which negotiations to join the union are already underway. "This prospect, in the final analysis, will depend on political will, real and stable reforms and settlement of disputes with neighbors," the European Commission.

Candidates for EU membership from the Balkans are Albania, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro. Bosnia and Herzegovina is waiting for its granting status as a candidate since February 2016.

Recall, as previously reported, "URA-Inform," the Spanish government demands to exclude Kosovo from the plan of expanding the European Union to the countries of the Western Balkans.
