On Saturday, November 29, the new season of the Biathlon World Cup started in Ostersund, Sweden.. The program of the 1st stage includes relay races (classical, as well as mixed and singles), individual races, sprints and pursuit races.
The only broadcaster of the tournament in Ukraine is Suspilna Sport: all competitions are shown live on digital platforms and regional channels.
In addition, free broadcasting is available on the official IBU website. Broadcasts races and Eurosport, included in the Optimal subscription of the Megogo media service.
Julia Jima will not be in the women's team at the first stage: the team leader will miss the start of the seven-day stage due to injury, but is expected to join in Hochfilzen. But Valery Dmitrenko will make his debut at the World Cup. Another newcomer appeared in the men's entry - Bogdan Borkovsky.
The composition of the Ukrainian national team for the World Cup in Ostersund Women: Khristina Dmitrenko, Valeria Dmitrenko, Anastasia Merkushina, Alexandra Merkushina, Elena Gorodnaya, Darina Chalyk Men: Dmitry Pidruchny, Vitaly Mandzin, Artem Tishchenko, Anton Dudchenko, Bogdan Borkovsky, Bogdan Tsimbal Dmitry prepared separately before the season. Lesyuk himself, who competed at five WC stages last season, did not make it into the lineup for this part of the season and will start the year at the IBU Cup level.
The head coach of the men's team, Nadezhda Belova, explained that selection in the classical form was not carried out: the coaches assessed shooting, speed, functional condition and formed the roster after the Swedish Championship.
