As of 13:00 on March 24, explosions on the territory of the military arsenal in the Balakley of the Kharkov region continue with a frequency of approximately two explosions per hour, but the forces of the Emergency Situations Department managed to liquidate 16 fires that occurred as a result of explosive objects.

As reported on the official site of the State Emergency Situations Service, 126 applications were submitted to the Emergency Response Headquarters (around 80 days a day), regarding the detection of ammunition in the city, 46 of which were worked out by the pyrotechnic groups of the SSES.

It is noted that the fire is eliminated in the arsenal by a special subdivision of the Ministry of Defense with the involvement of two fire tanks.

In the city of Balakleya, Kharkov region, on the night of March 23, a large ammunition depot exploded, where artillery and tank shells. As a result of the incident, about 20 thousand residents of Balakleya and two other nearby settlements were evacuated.

As Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman informed in the evening of March 23, the fire could not be liquidated: the fire already covers half the territory of the facility. On the morning of March 24, the Emergency Situations Ministry reported that explosions of various intensity were continuing at the arsenal.
