According to a recent report of the Pew Research Center, about 28% of smartphone users do not put passwords on the screen lock, although this function is one of the basic for compliance with security measures.

In addition, 40% of users update their applications or operating systems on an ongoing basis. Never update their applications or OS 10% and 14% of users respectively.

However, experts recommend doing this constantly.

Expected, older users of smartphones are less likely to comply with security measures. So, users older than 65 years are much less likely to put passwords on the screen lock, and update applications and OS (13% vs. 23%).

As a result, according to Pew Internet, 64% of Americans were the victims of data leakage, including unauthorized withdrawal of funds from payment cards (41%) and the leakage of personal information (35%).
