The National Commission implementing state regulation in the field of energy and public services (NCRECU) approved the Licensing Conditions for the conduct of economic activities for the production of electrical energy.

This was reported by the press service of the NKREC, reports BusinessCenter.

The new license conditions provide for the establishment of requirements for licensees on the obligation to comply with the principles of procurement in accordance with the requirements of the law "On Public Procurement".

It is expected that this will strengthen the responsibility of licensees for not meeting the requirements of transparent procurement.

In addition, there is a requirement to audit the financial statements of licensees with assets of more than UAH 250 million in accordance with the criteria approved by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 390 of June 4, 2015, which set requirements for auditing state-owned companies.

Also, in order to ensure the reliability of the operation of strategically important electric power facilities, licensing conditions require the licensees to create the necessary reserve of thermal coal in accordance with the forecast fuel structure of TPPs and CHPPs, which is approved by the Ministry of Energy.

In addition, licensing requirements provide for mandatory fulfillment of requirements for the protection of critical infrastructure in pursuance of the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
