Scientists of the world have repeatedly talked about the useful qualities of red wine. Recently, researchers from Michigan found another. As research has shown, the moderate use of this drink helps to prevent deafness in old age. Similar properties are also found in green tea and aspirin.

It's all about the antioxidants that are contained in red wine that reduce the harm done to the hearing aid by noise and antibiotics. An experiment conducted by Dr. Shaht and his team showed that daily use of the antioxidant "resveratrol", which is contained in wine, reduces the risk of deafness by 75%.

"I'm sure that there is no harm in increasing the consumption of red wine or green tea," the scientist said in an interview with New Scientist.
