Everton manager Ronald Kuman confirmed that the club still hopes to extend the contract with striker Romel Lukaku.

Agent Belgian Mino Rayola previously claimed that the deal was agreed to 99.9%, but ultimately Lukaku rejected a five-year contract that would make him the highest-paid player in the history of Everton.

"First, the deal was not agreed upon. 99. 9% is still not 100%, "Kuman said at a press conference.

"They are still trying to persuade him to sign the contract.

This I know from the leadership of the club ".

"I'm not worried, because the contract with the player is calculated for two more years. Everyone knows what can happen in football, but you need to respect your contract ".

Uncertainty around the future Lukaku is ready to take advantage of his former Chelsea club.

In the current season Romulo Lukaku spent 27 matches in Everton for Premier League, in which he scored 19 goals and gave 5 assists.
