Freddie Ljungberg has left his position in the Arsenal academy to join the coaching staff Wolfsburg.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that Freddie Ljungberg has promised to return to the Arsenal.

The former Gunners star left his job at the club's academy to join the coaching staff Andris Jonker in Wolfsburg.

"We let him go on the condition that he promise to come back", - said Wenger.

"Freddy has done an excellent job with a team of up to 15 years. I was constantly in touch with him, and hopefully he will return to Arsenal with the experience that will get in Germany ".
