The Associated Press reports that the British Parliament supported the proposal of Prime Minister Teresa May of holding early general elections on June 8. For the implementation of this initiative, 522 deputies of the House of Commons voted, against - 13.

On the intention to dissolve the House of Commons and hold early elections in the country on June 8, Teresa May reported yesterday, April 18.

She explained the decision by the fact that among current deputies there is no unity on the issue of Britain's withdrawal from the European Union.

Recall, the procedure "Brexit" was launched on March 30. Head of the European Council Donald Tusk assured that he would seek to minimize the negative consequences for the citizens of the remaining 27 EU countries.

The experts interviewed by Kommersant stated that, despite certain risks, Teresa May has a good chance to get a new parliament following early elections, giving her a carte blanche to withdraw from the EU until 2019.
